Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?Ī: Bob Katz. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?Ī: To give them the best product that I can possible.Ī: There's nothing better than creating art out of thin air, and helping the artists vision become a reality! I would be honored to be part of making that vision your reality! I learned in the analog world but I love the limitless qualities of digital. HA! Because analog is VERY EXPENSIVE! I DO LOVE Analog however and love using it's warm qualities when I can.
I also played drums and percussion on this and saw this from recording to CD artwork, album art setup and CD duplication in the jewel case and shipped to client! Another same thing except I didn't play anything just recording to CD artwork, album artwork and CD duplication. What was your role?Ī: Par Reilly's album "I Can Feel The Heat" I did all the tracking, mixing and mastering. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. One from New Orleans LA and another local artist here in Arizona. Q: What are you working on at the moment?Ī: Working on several projects right now. Then tracking, mixing, and finally mastering. My studio though small is acoustically treated.Ī: Pre-production I like to meet the band at a gig preferably and get a feel of the artist first, either on the phone, or at the gig if possible. Mackie 8" studio monitors, Sony and Fostex, and Sennheiser headphones. Slate Digital, Izotope Ozone, Waves, SSL, Eventide. REAPER for tracking editing and mixing and Harrison Mixbus 32C for mastering is my DAW's of choice using current state of the art plugins used by many famous studio's.
I use a MAC Mini i7 CPU 16GB ram 3 TB hard drive space.
I own very few mics but do well with what I have.
Does a generator count? I already live in the desert!Ī: I'm 100% in the box currently. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?Ī: Laptop, hard drives, an SM58 mic, my audio interface, headphones and a keyboard. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?Ī: Have all your tracks named correctly, and no MP3!
